The Journal supports a project decision. It does not replace a site survey, contract or the work of a relevant specialist.
Materials are published by ESSIVE Interior Design. They draw on the studio’s project practice, editorial preparation and fact-checking before publication.
Our role is to explain the decision logic: which inputs are required, what can be checked early, where a general guide ends and a site-specific project begins.

Fact
A verifiable statement with a source, date, document or explicitly identified project material.
Practice judgement
An ESSIVE recommendation based on project logic, presented as an approach rather than a universal rule.
Assumption
An estimate, scenario or unknown quantity with formula, limits and the information still to be confirmed.

A piece begins with the owner’s question, not a bundle of search terms.

Project inputs, primary public sources, calculations and limitations.
03Apply common sense
Scale, sequence, physical feasibility and clarity for the reader.
04Publish with limits
Date, sources, assumptions and the next step for a specific site.

A project photograph and an editorial illustration are not the same
A project image is connected to its portfolio page. An editorial illustration explains an article and is labelled as an illustration when it is not a photograph of a completed site.
Before publication we review scene meaning, human anatomy, scale, physical action and relevance. Where image or project status requires clarification, the final wording is approved by the studio.
Limits
What guidance does not replace
An article, checklist or calculator does not replace a survey, specialist calculations, contract review or the requirements of the specific site.
Regulatory and technical decisions are checked for the address, use and current documents. A calculator result remains a guide until its inputs are confirmed.
